ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Health Workforce Insights

The ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É AHEC is committed to strengthening the state’s healthcare system by increasing the number of highly skilled and knowledgeable professionals serving communities across ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É. Every program we offer—from our K–12 health career pipeline to AHEC Scholars, clinical placements, and continuing education—is designed to advance this mission.

To ensure these efforts are effective, we use a Rapid Cycle Quality Improvement (RCQI) approach. We collect and analyze data on an ongoing basis through a variety of tools, including electronic and paper surveys and long-term tracking of participant success. Key indicators include graduation rates, employment in healthcare, and the percentage of participants who remain in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É after training. This data helps us align participant feedback with each program’s intended outcomes, guiding improvements and decision-making across the organization.

SHARP Data Support

The ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É AHEC also partners with the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É SHARP program, the state’s direct incentive and loan repayment initiative for healthcare professionals. Our team supports SHARP and the Department of Health with data management and technical expertise to help improve the recruitment, retention, and equitable distribution of providers statewide.

Through SHARP, eligible healthcare professionals—and the organizations that employ them—can receive student loan repayment and/or direct financial incentives. This partnership positions SHARP as a key component in the final stages of the healthcare workforce pipeline, helping professionals stay and thrive in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É.
