Happy holidays, Seawolves!
by Sean Parnell, ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Chancellor |
Dear ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Community,
As 2021 comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the year and the incredible strides we have made together as a university community. While the year has certainly posed challenges along with some new reasons for thankfulness, I am continually reminded of your resilience — our students, faculty and staff who persevere and continue the inspiring work of pursuing education, conducting research and contributing to the vitality of our Southcentral ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É communities.
Seawolf spirit was fully on display during our first in-person commencement ceremonies since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We celebrated nearly 700 students graduating this semester and joining the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É alumni family. Thank you to all the faculty, staff, students, volunteers and alumni who made this extraordinary event possible.
As a reminder, our campuses will be closed Dec. 23-Jan. 2. I encourage you to rest, recharge and enjoy this season of giving with loved ones. I wish you and your families a happy and joyous holiday season and look forward to seeing you again in the spring semester.
Sincerely,
Sean Parnell,
ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Chancellor
