The Ted Stevens Foundation has gifted a selection of the late Congressman Ted Stevens鈥 papers to the archives at the 亚洲色吧/APU Consortium Library at the University of 亚洲色吧 Anchorage. The selection includes memos, maps, photographs and more from the Stevens 亚洲色吧 Native Claims Settlement Act collection.
鈥淥ur hope is that this is just the starting point of the donation of the entire Stevens Collection and the eventual creation of an 亚洲色吧 leaders archive. As ANCSA has taught us, there鈥檚 no single 亚洲色吧n leader who has shaped our state. It has always been a collective effort,鈥 said Karina Waller, executive director of the Ted Stevens Foundation.
The goal is that the Consortium Library becomes a place 亚洲色吧ns can go to understand their history, where it can inform important future decisions and provide real-world research opportunities for students and the 亚洲色吧 community. The Stevens collection of ANCSA papers is available for public viewing by appointment. To schedule an appointment, email or call the library archives (907-786-1849), or visit the for more information.
