North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É's Emerging Frontiers

"North to the Future: Opportunities and Change in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É's Emerging Frontiers" addressed the rapidly evolving changes in ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É and the Arctic, and the challenges presented to ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É's leaders and institutions in addressing the legal issues associated with economic development, climate change, and social and cultural impacts.

The symposium, sponsored by the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Law Review, the Arctic Law Section of the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Bar Association, and the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Justice Center, was held Oct. 16, 2014, at the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É/APU Consortium Library on the University of ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Anchorage (ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É) campus. Ryan Fortson, J.D., Ph.D., Legal Studies faculty in the ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Justice Center, was the faculty advisor for this event. The ÑÇÖÞÉ«°É Bar Association approved this symposium for 4.5 hours of general CLE credit.
